Introduction (example of a training)


Draft for the RIB-training in navigation in constrained
waters, driving techniques and boat handling.


This is the first draft and the first idea regarding the purpose and
content based on your kind of work. This course is well suited for
your demands, hands on and very practical and most of the
training will take place in the boats.
We would like to propose that for 12 student we send 2
instructors, each instructor will take 3 students for 4 days, total
40 hours per student. That means that after 8 days all students
have had their training.

 

Aim

The overall aim of this course is to give the participants the tools
necessary to perform safe navigation and driving during difficult
circumstances such as darkness, rough seas and/or low visibility
in high speeds.
After the training the participants shall be
able to:

1. Perform navigation in constrained waters in high speed with
maintained safety

2. Perform navigation in darkness with aid of radar and/or
lighthouses in high speed with maintained safety

3. Perform navigation in low or no visibility with aid of radar in
high speed with maintained safety

4. Handel driving techniques in high speed in all weathers

5. Be able to handle all equipments of the boat

Experience requirements
The participants must at least have taken a course in
fundamental navigation prior to this course. Otherwise, they will
find it hard to fully benefit from our training.
