All MARINEDIESEL engines are build on the General Motors 6.5L V8 which is a follower to the faithful 6.2L engine that arrived in 1982. In 1993 GM updated the earlier construction at the same time the cylinder expanded to reach 6.5 litre piston stroke area. Read more at MARINEDIESEL webpage
